RENAISSANCE ADVENTIST EDUCATION
Washington, D.C. 04/24/10

The Alumni Awards Foundation (AAF) hosted its fourth Renaissance Adventist Education summit in Washington, D.C. April 24, calling on some of the most influential people in the Adventist community to help the Foundation find solutions to the challenges facing K-12 Adventist schools, and facilitate a rebirth in Adventist education.

The summit, held in the Grand Ballroom of the Bethesda North Marriott, featured keynote speaker Gordon Bietz, President of Southern Adventist University and music by the Wedgwood. The summit included focus group break-out discussions to discern and prioritize an agenda for awakening change in Adventist schools. After dinner, each focus group reported existing barriers, possible solutions and ways AAF can make a difference.

RENAISSANCE ADVENTIST EDUCATION
Orlando, Florida 02/27/10

On February 27, 2010, the Alumni Awards Foundation (AAF) hosted its third Renaissance Adventist Education summit in Orlando, Florida. Renaissance Adventist Education summits are half-day events that bring together a select group of distinguished leaders and church laity to discuss critical concerns facing Adventist K-12 education. Each event includes focus group discussions to discern and prioritize an agenda for awakening change in Adventist schools. These think-tank events have been hosted in various cities around the country, convening the voice of concerned people who are passionate about seeing growth and excellence in Adventist education.

RENAISSANCE ADVENTIST EDUCATION
Chattanooga, Tennessee 11/14/09

On November 14, 2009, the Alumni Awards Foundation (AAF) hosted its second Renaissance Adventist Education summit in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  The event took place at the home of Byron and Susan DeFoor, AAF board members. Dr. Dale Twomley, president of Fletcher Academy Inc., delivered the keynote presentation, explaining how he has been able to turn around Adventist academies and describing some of the challenges he has encountered. Riverside, California 09/19/09

Last September, the Alumni Awards Foundation (AAF) hosted its first Renaissance Adventist Education summit in Riverside, California.  Many concerns and constructive ideas were brought to the table and the event was such a success that AAF decided to host regional events all around the country.
